Hi, I'm the author of the directions referred to in the first line of this informational posting. I would like to add a note or two:

Step 5 (the arranging of the level maps) may already be done for you, or may even be unnecessary.

If you would like to access the alien-bonus mission after you finish the game, make sure you have completed the required actions to do so, and then, from the Dedicated Server, manually select the level. As I recall, if you have not done the requirements to unlock the level, you will simply have control removed from you when you enter. I may be mistaken about that part, but that's what I remember.

Also, a note on the second part of this informational posting:

If when you create the steam_appid.txt file, the Status (input in the Console tab of the Dedicated Server application) still doesn't show (70), then copy the steam_appid text file and paste INSIDE the decay folder within the Dedicated Server, and then again inside the decay folder within the main half-life directory. This will cover all bases, and should work. To test it, Start the Dedicated Server, navigate to the Console tab, and type "status" in the parentheses on the first line, it should read (70). If it reads (5), make sure you've made the text file correctly and it is in all the aforementioned locations.

I thank whoever it is that referenced my guide, and would like to let you know that I have also created a guide to extracting Perfect World's (a different, online game) music, among others.
